About Nick's Nuts Nick's Nuts started by accident in 1967 when our founder (in his previous career) asked a business client about all the nuts noticeably piled on the client's desk. Nick had found the answer to his wife's holiday season cooking dilemma - pre-shelled, new crop fancy pecans. Her shelling days were over. Nick began selling the pecans and the business was still growing in 1985 when the pecan supplier acquired a gift company - and with it, a large inventory of unneeded gift tins. Nick bought the tins, added some chocolate smothered pecans, and created a whole new corporate clientele. Today we sell our products year round to all kinds of customers.
